Raksha is a registered charitable institution and we function under the Govt. of India rules and regulations. We are subject to inspections by the Department of Education. The auditing firm of RJN Price and Co audits our accounts. We maintain a high level of transparency in all our financial dealings.

The time, effort and commitment of Raksha staff are our greatest strength. Currently nearly 200 children and young adults are cared for by 54 staff members. The staff-student ratio stands at 1:4, making salaries our biggest expense.

Raksha receives a grant-in-aid from the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, New Delhi. This takes care of about 25% of our day-to-day expenses. For the balance, we are grateful for donations received from voluntary organizations, corporations, individual sponsors and donors.

Each year, Raksha holds a benefit concert by inviting prominent artists to perform for the people in Kochi. Funds raised from these efforts help support the school and the institute.
